A client of Technigent who’s a professional in the filmmaking industry was having difficulty maintaining and organizing information about movie shoots he was working on. When he needed to find a cut to use or
a roll to edit, or needed information about the lighting in a specific shot, he was unable to locate it quickly, making the activity he loves into a sluggish chore.
Technigent developed an iPhone cinematography application that keeps a running log of movie shoots that functions on iOS6 and all later models. The app enables users to create projects with detailed descriptions of crucial information related to equipment and shots. The app allows users to store film roll and take-information on the app and create two different types of PDFs to share and review information: PDFs with conceptual details about a shoot, take and scene; and PDFs with information about technical details like lighting and other settings.
The parameters that the movie manager app can store, such as project descriptions, camera settings, shoot locations, shot descriptions and more, resulted in the client being able to cater to movie makers with a useful app that stores, finds and receives all the required information within a few clicks.
